Linda Wener - Biography
Linda Wener was born in North London and started singing at age 13 when selected at school
to sing the soprano solos in Handel's Messiah. Her singing teacher was Charles Proctor,
founder of the Alexandra Choir. Linda has been professionally trained and performed many
roles in London operatic society productions.
Roles include Julie (Carousel), Charlie (Charlie Girl), Clementina (Desert Song), Maria (Sound of Music). Linda has also competed in national Music Festivals, winning the Soprano Class two years running at the North London Music Festival. In addition she has won the Festival Cup.
She has also performed recitals at notable London venues and has been involved in cabaret and concert work including Wedding Services and Wedding Receptions, Ladies' nights and luncheon parties.
Linda also sings at funeral ceremonies providing a very personal and memorable service to a sensitive occasion.
She has recently made a recording at the Wigmore Hall, London and her plans include a series of London concerts at the end of the year in addition to her regular bookings.
