LINDA WENER

SOPRANO SOLOIST

About Linda

Linda was born in North London and began singing at an early age when a school teacher realised she had a special talent. She sang the soprano arias from Handel's Messiah every Christmas throughout her years at secondary school. This success encouraged her to pursue a career in singing.

She moved on to play leading roles in many London operatic productions of musicals including The Sound of Music, Carousel and Cabaret.

With a particular interest in oratorio and opera, she decided that these were the areas in which she wanted to focus. Since then she has had the privilege of singing in many highly reputable venues throughout the UK.

She has performed at concerts and recitals in respected venues and has made a recording at the Wigmore Hall in London. Linda has sung at the Guard's Chapel, Knightsbridge Barracks near Buckingham Palace and at St James's in Piccadilly, London W1.

Having focused on wedding ceremonies for the past few years, she now also performs as a funeral singer and feels that the addition of a classical soprano can add a memorable and uplifting touch to a very sad occasion.

She lives in Wheathampstead near St Albans, Hertfordshire and most regularly performs across the county and in London.
