- During which part of a wedding ceremony does a singer usually perform?
Most people choose to have a singer perform during the signing of the register as it keeps the congregation entertained whilst the bride and groom are busy. Sometimes Linda is asked to sing as the bride comes into the venue or as the bride and groom are leaving. It's your special day and it's your choice.
- When can a singer perform during a funeral?
If the funeral takes place at a crematorium Linda usually sings during the committal. She can also sing at the beginning or the end of the service.
- Why should I choose a soprano singer instead of organ/instrumental music?
Having a singer perform a song of your own choice adds a very personal and memorable touch. You can see proof of this on the testimonials page.
- How much does it cost to have Linda sing?
Prices vary depending on location and the number of songs to be sung. You would need to discuss this with Linda but to give you an idea, costs are in the region of £100 to £300. Her prices include travel costs, a rehearsal with the organist/accompaniment prior to the occasion, and the actual performance.
- Does Linda only sing classical music?
No. Providing she is given reasonable notice she will learn and sing whatever is requested. Take a look at the wedding music or hymns for funerals pages and you can discuss choices with her.
- Does Linda only sing in churches?
No, Linda has sung at many civil wedding services including West Lodge Hotel in Cockfosters, Herts and at Luton Hoo, Beds. For funerals she has performed at crematoria and at the graveside.
